Rules: (1) Thank the person who nominated you, (2) post a quote for three consecutive days, and (3) nominate three bloggers each day.
So I’ve loved poking through everyone’s favorite quotes as this tag’s gone around, but it’s made me wonder: do you guys maintain, like, notebooks full of profound, quippy, and/or romantic quotes from all the books you read? Is there a quotes masterlist somewhere that you’re all referencing? Because you guys give fantastic quotes, and I don’t think I’ve seen any posted twice.
The amazing Gel nominated me for this tag last week (thank you, Gel!), and so I offer unto you this first quote sacrifice, in hopes that it pleases you.
I won’t lie, Jane Eyre‘s my go-to book when called upon to impress people with quotes (This is the first time.)
Now, no pressure guys, feel free to ignore this, but I’m nominating:
- Chesca at I Adore Paper
- Lekeshia at Lekeshia The Booknerd
- Megan at Pitchblacksky
Let me know if you accept; I don’t want to miss your quotes!
Edited on Saturday to add: I just adjusted my nomination links so hopefully they’ll create pingbacks for you three. Sorry about that!

I asked myself the same questions when I first came across this tag but I’ve come to understand that GR is a life savior when it comes to quotes, whenever I finish a book, I go and save my favorite quotes.
Magnificent quote by the way !

Time for me to get on the Goodreads quote train, looks like. Thanks for the tip! (And I’m glad you liked the quote!) =D

I use Goodreads to find all my quotes 🙂 but I have so many favourite ones!
I really love this quote too, I haven’t read Jane Eyre, or any classic novel really (they’re not my thing), but this is a beautiful quote! Great pick 😀

You’d think I would’ve figured the Goodreads thing out on my own. But nope. It’s cozy under this rock where I apparently live.
Yeah, I don’t do classics much, either. Jane Eyre and Jane Austen are about as classic as I get. Big into the Janes. =)

I still need to create a Goodreads account for my blog, it’s something I keep putting off, so you know, one day I’ll get around to it 🙂
Well you enjoy more classics than I do anyways, the only one I’ve read and loved is Alice in Wonderland!

If/when you do, I hope you put a notice up on your blog!
You have good taste: Alice in Wonderland is great. =)

We keep quotes under our pillows and pull them out for occasions like this (occasions may include impressing people with your literate prowress). Kindle’s highlighting option is helpful as well.
That is certainly one badass quote. Got to read Jane Eyre some time. Ever since I’ve read one of Jasper Fforde’s novels, it has been a bit of a bother, like Bronte’s soul herself is convincing me to read her snappy book.
And thanks for the tag !! Will definitely try this out!

Oh, THAT’S the secret. Maybe I should ditch Goodreads and start pillaging under all your pillows. That’s legal, right?
I’d highly recommend Jane Eyre, if you’re into classic lit! I’ve never heard of this Jasper Fforde fellow, but I’m curious now–though I kind of hate the idea that Jane would’ve chosen to go with St. John to India. Whyyy Jane don’t sacrifice your hard-won independence and happiness and meekly submit to yet another unappreciative relative. If I can get over my horror at the idea, I might give The Eyre Affair a shot!
Yay, I’m glad you’re willing to take the tag on! I’m looking forward to your quotes. =)

My pillow’s pretty huge enough. No one will find out though one may occasionally hear screams during nighttime.
I think you’ll like The Eyre Affair…? No really, I’m not sure myself. I’m not sure I liked it either but I did enjoyed it. It was a crazy book alright. I’ll just have to give a wink (my winks are fab and spoiler free) to whether Jane goes with St. John or not. Would love to hear your thoughts about that book lol
