BREAKING NEWS: Not a Spambot

This might come as a shock to you guys, but I am not a spambot. I know—I almost didn’t  believe it, myself. But WordPress apparently is unaware of this fact, and has been marking (almost) all of the several dozen comments I’ve made on your blogs these last couple days as spam. I’ve had a lovely chat with WordPress about the issue, and they’re looking into it.

In the meantime, though, my comments are still being sent directly into your spamboxes (except for the ones I’ve posted on Joey’s awesome blog, weirdly enough; what magic are you working, Joey?).

So, uh, if I’ve liked a post of yours in the last couple days, chances are good I also commented on it, and you weren’t notified. And this will continue to be the case until WordPress figures out what’s going on. Just FYI.

Still not a spambot,

Liam

  1. Found 3 of your comments in my spambox 😤 YOU DON’T THIS WITH LIAM’S COMMENTS PLEASE !! NOT WHEN THEY’RE THE BEST ! Pffft !! I’ll be answering in the morning though because I’m half asleep now and I can’t form coherent sentences whatsoever.

  2. Oh no! I found a comment of yours in my spam box. Thanks for the reminder to check it – I always forget to check that until I see a post that someone is in “spam jail”. Wonder why it’s been happening so much lately.

  3. I’ll be honest: I do most of my blogging work in WordPress Admin so I do see when there’s a pending spam comment. Some of which are so ridiculous they lift me up in its nonsense. Like there’s this spam commenter named Liam — not sure if you’ve met him before — anyways, he’s nonsense. Likes to hurt himself by reading bad books all the time for fun; kinda masochistic, I guess? He shall do he.
